A Mini History Lesson-Marchesa

Marchesa is a fairly new brand:

It was established in 2004 by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. The two met in London while in college at Chelsea College of Art and Design. They teamed up and combined their draping and textile abilities creatign what is now known as Marchesa.

The inspiration for the brand is based on Marchesa Luisa Casati. She was an Italian socialite who was known to be quite controversial. She lived an extravagant life including things such as nude male survants guilded in gold, cheetas on diamond leashes, wearing live snakes as jewelry, and much more.

I have many favorites when it comes to fashion designers, and one of those would be Marchesa! Fashion and Art are two of my favorite things in life and I feel like Marchesa combines the two to create its amazing designs! I am the type of person that loves the idea of dressing up but tends to put comfort first in my every day life, so I like to live through Marchesa with those amazing, out of this world dresses!
